Building Birmingham CNC Machining in Public

I'm documenting the process of building Birmingham CNC Machining, a platform helping businesses find the right precision engineering companies across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Every week I share what I'm learning from conversations with manufacturers, research into the industry and the realities of building a business from scratch.

Why I'm building this in public

I'm not a lifelong precision engineer, and I'm not going to pretend to be one. I'm someone who is curious, asks a lot of questions, and believes that documenting the process of building something openly is genuinely useful.

This site isn't where you hire anyone or buy anything. It's simply the record of a business being built from the very beginning. If you find it interesting, I'd love for you to follow along.

Research in the open

What I read, analyse and discover about the precision engineering industry, shared as I learn it.

Real conversations

Lessons from talking to manufacturers and machine shop owners, not theory from a textbook.

Honest reflection

The experiments, the mistakes and the things that did not go to plan, written down honestly.
